Find out more about our values, benefits, and employee experience by watching this video!About the RoleWe are currently seeking applications for a fixed term, part time Group Facilitator (Female Facilitator), located at our Spring Hill venue for our Peace and Family Safety Program, on the basis of 45 hours per fortnight. This position is on a temporary basis until 20 December 2024. Workdays/hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant.The Peace and Family Safety program is a Men’s Behavioural Change program designed to work specifically with CALD men who have used intimate partner violence. Often clients are unable to speak English so we are looking for someone with experience working with CALD men and using interpreter services.The key responsibilities of this position include:Assessing men for suitability in program participation, and case managing each client to ensure the safety of the client and their family.Facilitating groups and providing crisis intervention and individual counselling to perpetrators of domestic violence.Providing information and support in relation to protection orders, court processes and the Domestic and Family Violence Protection Act.Developing, implementing, and evaluating training and education programs within the community.Working as a team to measure change and increase safety for women and children.Developing and maintaining appropriate contact with police, solicitors, court staff, other counsellors, and community agencies in the region to facilitate a community response to domestic violence.Please note that the position holder will be required to work in Monday evening shift approximately (12:00pm - 8:00pm) with some flexibility needed to meet business requirements.The salary being offered is between $80,963.63 to $94,619.10 per annum pro rata, to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation.About YouTo be successful in this position, you will possess:Relevant undergraduate qualifications in the social or behavioural sciences.Experience working with clients in a group facilitation model and in individual counselling.Demonstrated experience working with local networks and agencies using principles of community development. knowledge of current theory and practice relating to domestic and family violence and a capacity to deliver community education programs.How to ApplyTo apply, send us your resume and a cover letter, outlining your demonstrated experience in each area.
