Find out more about our values, benefits and employee experience by watching this video!About the RoleWe're currently seeking applications for the permanent part-time (18.75 hours per week) role of Children’s Contact Service (CCS) Practitioner (Internally known as CCS Family Support Worker) located at our Eight Mile Plains venue.The purpose of this position is to assist with the activities of the CCS, which helps facilitate contact arrangements, supports children and their family members during changeovers or supervised visits, and provides a safe and secure environment for the child/ren.Hours of work will be Thursdays, Fridays during the week and every second weekend which attracts generous penalty rates.Tasks for this role include facilitate contact arrangements, support children and their families during changeovers or supervised visits, provide a safe and secure environment for the children.Other tasks: Apply theoretical models of supportive human interaction, developmental stages of children, conflict resolution, and other relevant frameworks.Undertaking assessment and intake processes, including parent interviews, case planning and reviews.Organising safe and appropriate activities for children to maximise parent/child.Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for parents and children accessing CCS.About YouTo be successful in this position, you willHave Bachelor degree in the social or behavioural sciences, with a focus on child development.Have demonstrated experience working with children and their parents/carers and theoretical knowledge of the issues regarding child development, abuse and/or neglect.Have experience working with people in crisis and/or parents in conflict.Knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation and regulations relating to family law and/or children’s contact issues is also required.Ability to work on weekend and evening shiftsPossession of, or willingness to obtain, a First Aid/CPR Certificate.What We Can Offer YouThe salary being offered is between $80,963.63 to $ 94,619.10 per annum pro rata for part-time, to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation.
