Relationships Australia Queensland (RAQ) is a leading provider of relationship and family support services.  We believe healthy relationships are essential for the well-being of children, families and communities.  We are committed to offering the best possible counselling, mediation, education and support services, and are committed to social justice and inclusion.  Find out more about our values, benefits and employee experience by watching this video!About the RoleWe're currently seeking applications for the permanent part-time (18.75 hours per week) role of Family Support Worker to work within the Children’s Contact Service at our Bundaberg venue.The purpose of this position is to assist with the activities of the CCS, which helps facilitate contact arrangements, supports children and their family members during changeovers or supervised visits, and provides a safe and secure environment for the child/ren.Hours of work are flexible through the week, with every second weekend which attracts generous penalty rates.Tasks for this role include facilitate contact arrangements, support children and their families during changeovers or supervised visits, provide a safe and secure environment for the children.Other tasks: Apply theoretical models of supportive human interaction, developmental stages of children, conflict resolution, and other relevant frameworks.Undertaking assessment and intake processes, including parent interviews, case planning and reviews.Maintaining and observing safe and appropriate activities for children to maximise parent/child.Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions for parents and children accessing CCS.About YouTo be successful in this position, you willPossess a relevant tertiary qualification in the social or behavioural sciences, with a focus on child development.Have demonstrated experience working with children and their parents/carers and theoretical knowledge of the issues regarding child development, abuse and/or neglect.Have experience working with people in crisis and/or parents in conflict.Possess knowledge and ability to apply relevant legislation and regulations relating to family law and/or children’s contact issues is also required.Be an organised individual with expert time management skills, who has high record keeping and diary management standards.Be adept in computer and communication literacies.The full time annual equivalent salary on offer is between $76,947 to $90,363, to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation.How to ApplyClick 'Apply' to send us your resume and a cover letter outlining your demonstrated experience in the areas outlined above. We will be reviewing applications as they’re received, so we encourage you to submit your application now!Applications close at 4pm on 4 July 2023HR - PD - CCS Family Support Worker AUD Bundaberg 4670
