About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Relationships Mediation Service Practitioner to join our team at our Robina venue. This part-time role offers 52.5 hours per fortnight, with flexible workdays/hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.
As a Senior Relationships Mediation Service Practitioner within the Senior Relationships Mediation Service (SRMS), you will provide high-quality case management, counselling, family meetings and mediation services to individuals and families impacted by elder abuse. This rewarding role focuses on working with families holistically to identify and implement solutions to the underlying issues contributing to abuse. You will play a crucial role in promoting safety, well-being, and positive family relationships.
Additionally, you will:
Provide professional and empathetic counselling to individuals impacted by elder abuse, including affected family members.
Conduct comprehensive client intake, risk, and needs assessments.
Provide a responsive service to clients seeking engagement, ensuring timely case management and referrals, adhering to RAQ protocols and service delivery standards.
Demonstrate sensitivity and expertise in managing complex cases, underpinned by a strong theoretical understanding of elder abuse dynamics.
Facilitate family meetings to support communication and conflict resolution.
Contribute to a multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated service delivery.
Maintain accurate and timely case notes and documentation.
The base salary for this role is between $84,000.00 to $98,000.00 per annum, depending upon qualifications and experience.
About You
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications in Behavioural Science, Psychology, Counselling or Social Work.
Demonstrated experience and theoretical knowledge in family and individual counselling across diverse settings, applying a case management framework within complex cases.
Experience in delivering group work counselling, education/skills-training for individuals and families (desirable).
Strong understanding of relevant legislation and regulations related to elder abuse and family law.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Commitment to ethical practice, social justice, and client-centred service delivery.
