About the Role
Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of older people? Join our dedicated team as we deliver the Senior Social Connection Program (SSCP), a vital initiative designed to reduce social isolation and foster stronger community connections for older persons. We're looking for
In this rewarding role, you will provide person-centred, innovative, and evidence-based support to empower older individuals at risk of, or experiencing, social isolation. Through high-quality case management, information, advice, and referral services, you will help clients and their families navigate a range of issuesâfrom social and legal matters to health, accommodation, and wellbeingâensuring they feel connected, supported, and safe within their communities. Additionally, you will:
Develop and implement comprehensive community education and engagement strategies to raise awareness about gambling-related issues and promote harm minimisation practices.
Collaborate with key stakeholders within industry and community to build partnerships, create effective referral pathways, and ensure alignment with RAQ's statewide approach to gambling help services.
Maintain confidentiality and duty of care, including identification and assessment of domestic and family violence, child safety, threat of harm to self or others, and other risk factors; and take appropriate steps as required by organisational policy and procedure.
Understand and meet legislative and funding requirements including collecting and recording statistical data in a timely and accurate manner.
Organise and facilitate network meetings and events
About You

A deep understanding of and respect for diversity and inclusion is essential, as is the ability to interact sensitively with stakeholders from various social and cultural backgrounds. You should be proactive and innovative, with a capacity to adapt to change and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. High levels of professionalism, integrity, and accountability are crucial, with a track record of gaining trust through honest and authentic interactions.
Additionally, you have:
Relevant Undergraduate qualification in Behavioural Science, Psychology, or Social Work/Community Development or Education.
Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver education and awareness programs, as well as an understanding of theoretical frameworks and models of adult education and community development
Demonstrated experience in engaging with various community sectors and ability to build key stakeholder engagement with RAQ.
Knowledge of adult learning principles and community engagement/ development strategies.
We Can Offer You
The salary is being offered between $84,000.00 to $98,000.00 per annum, to be negotiated depending upon qualifications and experience, plus superannuation. We also offer our employees as follows:
