The purpose of this position is to provide high quality gambling counselling to individuals, their families, and significant others. Details of the roles are as follows:Permanent part time positionEvenings, overnight and weekends shifts availableHourly rate between $43.29 to $46.58Located from our Eight Mile Plains venueAdditionally, you will:Provide clients with a responsive service that displays an understanding of the problems they are encounteringApply theoretical models of addiction and gambling, stages of change, and other relevant frameworks in the counselling process.Conduct client assessment of client needs to provide relevant information and make appropriate referrals to support clients to link and gain support from our Gambling Help Services Sector.Ensure thorough client risk assessment and mitigation, including identification and assessment of domestic and family violence, child safety, threat of harm to self or others, and other risk factors; and take appropriate steps as required by organisational policy and procedure.Understand and meet legislative and funding requirements including collecting and recording statistical data in a timely and accurate manner.Work days/hours will be negotiated with the successful applicant, however please note that the position holder will be required to work shifts that include evenings, overnight and weekends after successful completion of appropriate training. About YouYou are a compassionate and professional individual with a strong commitment to supporting others in challenging situations.
